looks like we made it

Well ladies and gents, even though the images appear to still show a stocked fridge, I think we've managed to eat up most of the perishables before departing for Utah. And what is still around we can freeze fairly well. It's hard to see in this photo, but the top shelf is *nearly* empty! Just about the only casualty will be the large pot of turkey stock we were prepping with the turkey bones which isn't a terrible loss since we would probably have chucked the bones anyway if my Dad hadn't suggested making the stock. Thank you everyone for your calls and letters of support. All of us here have especially enjoyed the canned food baskets and daily fresh flowers.

one more day in the fortress of solitude...

After two days off in the middle of the week to celebrate my brother's birthday and to do a little holiday hangin' out, it's back to work for me. It's still pretty desolate... and despite it being Friday, there are no donuts to be seen. It looks like we've got one more big long slow day before we really start kicking in to overdrive to finish our next film on schedule... Although, I'm taking next week off to chill out and do a little snowboarding in Utah! But after that I swear it's time to get to work! So, for the time being, you can find me doing my snow dance at the Iron Blosam lodge at the base of the Wilbre chairlift in Snowbird, UT.

Oh, and for all of you who keep pestering me day and night for the refridgerator report, We've managed to clear another 8 square inches of space near the back by condensing the stuffing and turkey to smaller containers. Now please all of you, stop e-mailing and calling! I need my sleep!

hope emerges from the depths...

Well, despite the small Tupperwear of lasagne we created from dinner tonight, we were actually able to make a slight dent in the wall of food inside our fridge. As you can clearly see in this latest photograph, there is a large opening directly above the soy milk at least the size of 1 1/2 milk cartons. And enough room in the fruit drawer (which has been completely commandeered by the Christmas leftovers) for at least three apples! We're making progress, but I'm afraid we still do not have enough time to clean out the entire fridge before we go out of town next weekend! Needless to say, this dillema is wearing heavy on my head at the moment.

Shaaa... Well, okay. My Girl Masako and I pawned my old fuzzy dice, her cubic zirconia ear-rings, and my penny collection to pay off the Christmas grocery bill. I had a hard time finding space to put a single boiled egg this morning! But that didn't stop me from stopping by the good ol' Whole Foods this afternoon to pick up some MORE! My brother Craig's birthday is tomorrow and we have some celebrating to do.


Originally, it was going to be a dinner out at some fancy restaurant but Craig's been in Japan for the past three years and he's craving for some home cooked Lasagna, Garfield style. So I picked up some spinach and garlic.

the day after christmas

It's the day after Christmas and I'm sitting here in my office clicking the 'get mail' button but nothing is coming up. I think out of the 300 people at the studio, only 15 are in today. There are a few more ideas that need to be animated... but no one is around and i'm feeling REALLY unmotivated. Maybe I'll try and get my picooz chopper to fly right and then get to work...
